Hawaiian Stake Party

Every year our Stake puts on a Valentine's Party for families. We try to go every year because the parties are that good and we have a blast! They always do a fun picture booth with props to wear or hold. Avery was in a limbo contest. They have bounce houses and face painting and crafts for the kids. They had lots of different desserts and frozen yogurt from Kiwi-Loco. And of course radio DJ who plays family fun songs that everyone can get their groove on! It was a fun night with lots of laughs, good friends and food galore. :) Until Next year!

I'm baaaaaaaaack!

Wow.

Has it really been since MAY that I last wrote a blog post?!

Maybe I was in such despair having my youngest child, my baby, graduate Kindergarten that I felt like I couldn't go on...

OR maybe it was because Ryan and I decided to build our dream home (check back for pictures later) and that took all my time and energy!

Whatever the reason for not blogging these many months, I need, no, I MUST blog again. My kids love reading the stories and looking at pictures from the book I print out every year of our blog. I am doing it for my children!

But if you would like to follow our happenings from time to time, come on in and make yourself once again, At Home With The Hodges! :)

SO I am going to play catch up and go back to May/June of last year and try to write 2-3 stories or things we did each month till I get caught up. Whew! That's going to be a lot. I can do it. I can do hard things!

Dan Visits

Dan came down for a visit to see us and our new home. It is always a joy to see Dan. He is such a great friend of ours and we love seeing him. We also love beating him at his own board games when he brings new ones. Such sweet Joy. :) He was just about to leave so we hurried and snapped a few pictures of all of us. Thanks for visiting Dan!

Winter in the New House January 2016

First snowstorm at our new house. Avery and Emily wanted to go out and explore the massive yard which is now ours to explore! (and mow in the future....ugh!)  Such cute balls of lots of pink fabric they are. ;)

Skating in the New Year!

Happy New Year!! Well, it's a few days past, but we decided to celebrate bringing in the New Year by going to lunch at Denny's and then off to the skating rink. Avery and Madisen really enjoy skating, Emily, not so much! She kept falling and so that is why she was upset. She couldn't get the hang of it. But with practice it will come. So I guess that means we have to go skating more often. ;) We had a great time though and met up with some friends of ours too.
