Girls' Weekend in Boise

Kristen, Kerry and I try to have a girl's weekend once a year in Boise. We met up with Chelsea Hansen and had such a great time catching up together. We made reservations for a facial and got our make done professionally. We obviously look amazing so we had to pose! :) We went out shopping and then out to dinner at a really yummy pizza place at the Village Mall in Boise. Such a Great weekend!! Love these friends of mine!

Avery's Birthday!!

We just had a small family gathering for Avery's 9th birthday. She got a lot of fun things from grandparents and aunts and uncles. Even Wendy and Jerry were able to come over and have dessert with us. We love you Avery and are so proud of the girl you are becoming. You make us all laugh and you are friendly and kind to others. Thanks for being such a great example to all of us!

White-water rafting!

It was awesome!! We always have such a great time white water rafting with all our friends.

Outlaws

Christy thought it would be a good idea to spend a beautiful August Saturday on a 14.5-mile torture fest of pain.  So she signed us up for an ultra-half marathon called "The Outlaw."  The quote for the race was, "Run like the posse is on your trail."  So Dan and I decided to dress up like two old-timey outlaws in our red long john's and our water bottle guns with holsters.  We were ready to ride.  Now, many of you may think that running whilst wearing long johns would seem a very bad idea, but what happened was the complete opposite.  The wind flowed right through the fabric and kept our nether regions nice and comfortable. Dan cut his extra short.  hee hee hee. We all did pretty well for the first 5 miles or so, but Christy took multiple tumbles after that and we all started to get pretty tuckered out. We came down a hill and saw some photographers near the end and they told us we only had a little farther to go.  By this time, we were over 14 miles into this horrific pain fest and we were starting to shut down, but with this announcement, we got a second wind.  We rode on to the road, riding sticks like they were stallions.  Then we discovered that it was still like 1/2 mile to the end.  Immediately, Dan cramped up and almost collapsed.  Christy and I mentally shut down and I wanted to go crawl under a tree and die. But we pushed through and came out victorious. It was an experience I will never forget and will never ever want to repeat.
