Shucking Corn

Every other year we buy between 200-300 ears of corn to freeze. There is an assembly line of shucking, washing, boiling, cutting it off the cob and then putting them all in freezer bags to store in the freezer. It usually lasts us about 2 years and then we need to do it all over again. It's good for the kids to learn these skills!

Horse Back Riding Lessons

For Emily's homeschooling she was able to choose any outside activities and it's completely paid for by Tech Trep Academy. So she choose, horseback riding, piano and cooking and crafts. She loved taking care of the horses and riding them.

Preserving our Garden

We plant a garden every year and try to preserve as much as we can from it. This year we got tons of zucchini, cucumbers, squash, peppers, jalapeƱos, tomatoes, and onions. This year we made several batches of relish, sweet and dill. We canned dill pickles with the cucumbers, and that was a hit! We made several batches of green chili sauce and tomato sauce, salsa and also a big batch of apple pie filling, from all the apples we went and picked. So we made quite a bit with all we had. The girls  helped and learned quite a bit too.

Crash Landing on You

This series is are absolutely favorite show. We all fell in love with it, even Ryan. We all quote it all the time and have watched it at least 4 times all the way through! I got my parents hooked on it was well and my mom has seen it at least 6 times! There are 16 episodes and they are all about an hour, hour and a half. Yeah. I know what you are thinking. 16 hours times 4 times. That's a lot of time spent watching a show! But it's that good!
Watch it.
You won't regret it.

Parade of Homes!

My parents were building a home for the Parade of Homes in Idaho Falls and Twin Falls was having their annual Parade of Homes so my parents decided to head over and go with us to all the new homes. I took pictures of things that I loved so if we ever decide to build again someday, well then, just maybe I would do something like these pictures!
