Our good friends across the street, the Clarks invite us over from time to time to watch the big game at their house! We always have such a great time, eating, talking, laughing, cheering and booing as the night goes on. They are such great friends and neighbors and we are so lucky and grateful we can call them anytime for anything.

Happy Birthday Avery!

Avery's 7th Birthday

August 21, 2014

Avery started off her 7th birthday when she received a package from Grandpa Hodges and Grandma Trudy.  It was a bunch of forest animals in a little tent.  She loved it!  Especially the fox.  I asked Avery who would she like to come play with her today and she immediately said, "Tyson!" So we invited her best friend Tyson and his sister to come and share Avery's birthday with her.  They chilled on the couch and watched a movie.  The day before her birthday we took her out to get her some presents at the store and then took her to McDonald's for dinner (out of all the places she could have chosen...)  I made a cake for Avery and the girls dumped a butt-load of sprinkles all over it.  It was a "little" crunchy.  The next day I took the girls and met up with some friends to go to a fun place called, Hop 2 It! They had a great time playing on the bounce houses.

That weekend we drove over to Pocatello to spend some time with Grandma and Grandpa Newman.  Grandma made Avery the animal she was hoping for: A princess piggy!  

After the girls went to bed, we stayed up late into the night with Grandma and Grandpa, playing our favorite card game, "Rook!"  

It was a low key Birthday this year, but I hope she had a good one!

First Day of School! First Day of School!!

Ah, school starts again. This summer went by faster than any summer so far. I couldn't believe that it was school time again. $150 later and they all had their school supplies and were ready to go back and learn! I think Emily was the most excited as now she gets to go to school with her sisters at the same school. She also got Mrs. Stanger for her Kindergarten teacher and we were so happy about that. She is the BEST teacher!

I was trying to be a "cool" mom and so I made special heart pancakes for their first breakfast. We even cut their sandwiches into hearts and dinosaurs for their lunch! I know right? So creative. psh! They loved it though, so that is all that matters!

White Water Rafting with the College Ward

Now that Ryan is serving in the college 2nd ward here in Twin Falls, we get to do a lot of fun activities with them. We got to rafting again and it was fun getting to know some of the college kids better. Any chance we can get to go rafting we are there! We love it!
