Happy Halloween!!

This year for Halloween, Emily wanted to be a pirate, Avery wanted to be Hermione Granger, and Madisen  and her friend Brooke were a character in a book she was reading called, Shadow Weaver.

I along with another mom, were in charge of Emily's class Halloween party. So we came up with some fun games, craft activity and treats for the class. It was fun watching the parade for the last time in elementary school too. I am going to miss those days!

Party!!

Emily's friend from school, McKinley invited Emily to a fun Halloween party at her house. Emily decided to go as Hermione Granger or just a Hogwarts student. They had a great time!

Clue

For our joint YM/YW night, I wrote the script for a Clue-type murder mystery and everyone that played a character had to be in costume. Each character would then be interviewed by the other youth to determine who they thought was the murderer!  Avery was an old granny and she was the best actor, staying in character no matter what! The walker we found at the DI and actually had tennis balls already attached.  So awesome!

My Grandma Cherryholmes

My grandma Cherryholmes is such a great example to me of kindness, thoughtfulness and love. She can be blunt and brutally honest at times, but it's those times where we needed to hear what she had to say, so we can change and become better. And she only does it out of love and concern. If you know my grandma she has such a spunky personality and laughs so easily. She loves to be with people but she also loves to be alone with her journals and her paints. She never misses a birthday. Every year since I can remember she has always sent me a birthday card to wish me a happy birthday. And ever since my kids were young she has sent them one too. She makes people feel good about themselves and I love that I always feel good about myself when I am around her.
Happy Birthday Grandma! We love you!!
