Relief Society Birthday Dinner

For Relief Society I am the 2nd counselor over activities and we wanted to throw a fun birthday party celebration for all the sisters to just come relax and have a good time. I thought doing a cake for every month would be a good way to celebrate everyone's birthday through the year. Also we had 12 speakers that talked for a few minutes on a topic that shows what relief society is and all the good things about relief society. It was a fun night and I think many sisters enjoyed trying out the many cakes on display as well!

Meridian Temple Open House/BSU game

We were able to take the girls to the Meridian Open house and it was beautiful!! Such an amazing temple and just perfect inside. With dark woods through out around the baseboards and door frames. Yet, when you get on the highest floor, the 4th floor, or the Celestial Rooms everything is pure white. With huge round chandeliers that shine so bright all down the length of it. The outside grounds are beyond spectacular and the pond behind the temple is just peaceful. It was raining the day we went but even then the view of everything was just beautiful.

After seeing the temple we went out for hamburgers and then took the girls' to their first Boise State Football game. They loved it! They watched cheered the whole time. It was a great game against Wyoming. We won 24-14! Whoo-hoo!

Idaho Falls Temple Rededication/ Visiting Ethan

The Idaho Falls Temple was rededicated after it's remodel. We got the chance to go with my parents for the weekend and then out to lunch after. It was a neat experience and we all had a great time. We later drove down to Preston to visit Ethan and Grandpa and Grandma Hodges graves. We try to make it over there once a year during May.

Emily's Baptism

Today was such a special day! The day Emily got baptized into the church. We are so happy that she has chosen to follow Christ and make this commitment to always remember Him. We felt Ethan's present there that day. Emily got baptized on May 6th, the day Ethan passed away. But the spirit was very strong, and it was the perfect day for Emily to get baptized we think, and I think Ethan would agree. We are so proud of Emily. We can't believe she is our last baby to get baptized! Where has the time gone?!
And because is was the same day Ethan passed from this world, we celebrated his life by letting off 8 gallons for him. Here are some pictures from the day.
