Happy Birthday Dad!!
Here's dad conducting as we sang Happy Birthday to him! Haha. His favorite dessert is Razzleberrry pie with Tillamook ice cream. He loves it! And we love him!
He's 42... And still looking as handsome as ever, if not more.
How is it that guys always look better with age?? So not fair. ;)

BSU Football!
Once again Jesse Clark hooked me up with a sideline pass, this time against Air Force, a team we have struggled with for years. They run Satan's offense (the Triple Option) and are really hard to stop at it. What was also tough is that I grew up rooting for Air Force since I went to high school on the Air Force Academy. There are two really cool parts of pretty much every Air Force game: 1. The flyovers, where jets of all sizes fly over the stadium at low altitude and cause the entire stadium to shake and rattle. 2. the actual live falcons they bring to the games. They brought a peregrine falcon and another smaller falcon. It was awesome! I also got on ESPN as seen below! I'm right next to Jesse, watching Boise State Linebacker Zeke Noa limp off the field after tearing his ACL. No bueno! We ended up eeking out a win against them, but it was too close for comfort!

Ugly Sweater Winner!
Every year at Family Health Services, we hold an ugly sweater contest. The winner for two consecutive years has been yours truly. When I walk into the clinic wearing this monstrosity, the first wave of emotion is extreme nausea by the front desk girls, followed immediately by the dry heaves. The nurses, on the other hand, try to bring their A-game sweaters to bring me down, but they ultimately end up crying tears of bitterness and sorrow when they witness my sweater in all it's glory. The competition and the sweater get a little stiffer each year.

Some things never change...
Every time I got home and laid on the floor to rest from school, Avery would make a bee-line to my head and sit on it with her saggy, stinky diaper. She would laugh hysterically as I tried to pry her off. She would spend hours sitting on my back after I passed out from the diaper.
Well, things don't change much, except Avery has thankfully gotten away from diapers and from sitting on my head, but my back is still fair game.

Ryan's 40!!!
Turning 40 was pretty exciting for me! It's tough to face the fact that I was turning 40, but I honestly feel like I'm still 15. It's hard sometimes when I'm in a meeting at work to pretend that I'm an adult. It's much easier just to play around. Christy and the girls got me up early with a donut and some presents and cards, and then I looked out the window, and Christy and Michael Francom had rented a sign that was displayed in our front yard all day... thanks guys... By the end of the day, I was ready for my Mom's 40th birthday gift, a beautiful hammock! Now we're talking!

The Biggest BSU Fan on the Field!
My good buddy Jesse Clark has invited me over the past several years to be his "helper" on the sidelines of Boise State football games. He videotapes the games for the big screen at the stadium and for shots they later use in the news and highlight reels. He is an amazing friend and we have a blast! I've been able to meet a lot of previous Boise State stars, like Ian Johnson, Doug Martin, and Drisan James. I can't believe how lucky I've been to stand on the sideline to watch Boise State dominate their opponents!
