BSU/Air Force Birthday Weekend...

This was the BEST Birthday present ever! Dad Hodges paid for Ryan, me and Wendy and Jerry to fly  to Colorado and go to the Air Force/BSU game which was Ryan's 36th Birthday weekend. The only thing that would have made this weekend perfect was if BSU won. But sadly they lost. It was one of their worse games ever! They had like 7 turnovers and it was just ugly all around. We had a great time though being together as a family and even Dan came and stayed with us. We all had such a great time we didn't want to leave! But we missed our girls too much to stay. But it was a weekend that will forever be remembered.
Thanks Dad Hodges for making that happen. We had an amazing time!

Happy Birthday Ryan! We love you and are so glad you were born! ;)

Scrappin'

I have a ton of scrapbooking supplies that I have collected since I was in 8th grade. Some of the supplies I have gotten for Birthdays, Christmas's and shopping sprees over the years, and some of it from friends and family. Ryan's mom has given me a lot of supplies as well as Celeste- my sister, has gotten a lot from her mother-in-law, which she then gives to me! I am so lucky! :)

Anyway the girls have been wanting to use all my stuff but it's hard for me to know what to let them use. So I went through most of it and put a pile of things that they can use and get into when they want to. They had a great time making their own journal covers and spent hours gluing and piecing papers together. They are all quite creative in their own ways. Their journals turned out really cute.

Avery's Soccer Team- The Geckos!

Avery participated in soccer this year and she loved it! She probably ran though twice as much as any other kid, just because she would go around the entire group overtime, rather than going straight for the ball. Haha! It was pretty funny. But she was a good defender and ALMOST scored a goal. She was so close to scoring one time, when another little girl that has scored 20 goals or more (:the only girl on the team that scored) cut right in front of her and kicked it in for the goal. Oh well, Avery gave it her all and next year I have no doubt she will score one for the team. She loved playing and running and had such a great time. I think she loved getting a snack at the end almost as much as playing. ;)

Date Night

Madisen had an activity days, Daddy/daughter date one night at the church and I decided to take Avery and Emily out on a Mommy/daughter date to Pizza Hut and then out shopping! The only picture I remembered to take was when we were pulling out of the sub division to go eat. I forgot to take pictures of the girls and I hanging out together. I guess that's a good thing as we were having too much fun!  But I did want to journal a little bit about it to let them know that we did have fun together even if they can't remember someday! :) haha.

Free Corn!

Ryan got called as 1st counselor in the College Ward and the high councilman that is over the ward owns acres and acres of corn fields. Well he invited us and others from the college ward to come pick as much corn as we wanted for free! What a blessing that was! Serving the Lord always brings countless blessings.
We love corn and ran out a few months before so we were excited to be able to go and get as much as we wanted for free. The girls helped us pick the corn, Ryan (bless his heart) did all the chucking, because I hate that part! And the girls washed/rinsed all of it while I boiled it and cut it all up to be put in freezer bags.

Good Work girls!

We counted around 250-300 ears of corn. I think by the time we finished we had 1/2 of our freezer full!
