TaVaci Spring Concert

The girls are still doing TaVaci. They love it...well sometimes Emily would rather stay home but once she gets there she enjoys it. They are each getting better at singing. Madisen sang a few parts with 2 other friends and did very well. It was a great concert and we were proud of them for getting out there on stage in front of many people and performing dances and singing their songs.

In this picture Avery is upset (don't remember why) but I told her is she didn't change her attitude immediately will won't get for ice-cream and just go straight home.

Looks like she turned it around immediately....
Glad my kids know the meaning of that word so well. ;)

TaVaci Performance

Another semester of TaVaci has come and gone...we have so much enjoyed having our kids in TaVaci. The performances are so fun to watch. All the kids just have their own little personalities and keeps us highly entertained. Melanie Cook is an amazing teacher of music and performance. The girls love being in it learning new songs and dances. It's been such a blessing to us as our kids are a little on the shy side, and this has helped them get up on stage and in front of people more.

It was Emily's first time and she sang beautifully. Avery was so into the hand motions and singing really loud that we could pick her voice out among the other kids and it was really cute! And Madisen sang and danced her best and made us so proud!
They all did such a great job and we are so proud of them!

Melalueca Christmas Concert

This last weekend Ryan was asked with some other guys, Shaun Heier, who was Ryan's former roommate in college, (before I took over the job permanently ;) Scott, Josh and another guy named Ryan, to to sing a few songs at the Melalueca Christmas Concert, both Friday and Saturday night. Shaun and the other guys work for Melalueca in Idaho Falls and asked Ryan to come along and sing with them, so this was the first time Ryan and I had met the other guys. Shaun and Ryan also started an A Capella group at Ricks called Poprox, so they have been singing together here and there ever since. They practiced a for about a week before they had to perform on stage, and it sounded awesome!

(I had to cut off the last little bit of the song because the file was too large.)

Then the unbelievable singer, Collin Raye came on stage and completely rocked the house! It was so fun! Collin Raye has had many hit songs that are just fabulous so here are just a few that I recorded to share with you.

He has had 15 number 1 single hits and 5 platinum albums!

Back stage with Collin Raye!

They called themselves the Mela-A-Capella. :)
