This was State HOSA in Pocatello Avery's sophomore year. They ate at a sushi restaurant and she got to try shark meat with Cassidy. Avery placed 2nd at state for an organizational skills test and then got into the top 5 for Health career photography. Vanessa and Cassidy were her roommates and they brought Mario kart for the hotel T.V. They played until 12am! They also had a pool and went swimming everyday. Avery said, the breakfast was awesome and the conference was a ton of fun. Avery met lots of new people and had the time of her life. They also got a whole charter bus all to themselves!

Avery is going to State!
We are so proud of Avery and her accomplishments! She decided to try out a new program at the school called HOSA.
(HOSA is a global student-led organization recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and the Department of Health and Human Services and several federal and state agencies. HOSA’s mission is to empower HOSA-Future Health Professionals to become leaders in the global health community, through education, collaboration, and experience. HOSA actively promotes career opportunities in the health industry and to enhance the delivery of quality health care to all people. HOSA’s goal is to encourage all health science instructors and students to affiliate and be actively involved in the HSE-HOSA Partnership.)
Yeah...that's a mouth full.
Anywayssss it was so neat only being freshman and placing and medaling on the health test that she took. Now she gets to go to to State In March with some of the juniors and seniors. They will be traveling to Pocatello for two days where she will compete with other schools around Idaho. Her and her partner, Emily (who is a senior) made this display of the heart. Avery made the heart and labeled it. (with a little help from her parents ;)
