Daddy Daughter Drive-In Date!

So there we were, cruising around in our sweet new ride, windows rolled down, top down, being our usual cool-as-ice selves, when Madi and I (dad) came across this party going on at the drive-in.  We decided to stop by and see what all the noise was about.  We parked our convertible race car on the grass and everyone was like "whoah!  Nice car."  We just nodded our heads in our cool way and headed for the food and games.

We saw some old friends there and it's clear that life has been pretty hard on their car... paint job is shredded and tires came off.  I'm amazed they made it to the party!  But even though their car wasn't in good shape, the Memmots were as cool as ever.  Seriously, they can make anything look awesome.

The crowd started to grow as the party got louder and more crazy.  Brother Beard started chugging chocolate milk, and we were like "Dude!  you crazy!  Slow down!" and he was like, "You can't stop awesomeness!" as the chocolate milk ran all over his chin, chest, and hair.  What a cool cat.  The Hansens arrived in their rumbler called "The Red Beast," and let me tell you, that thing IS a beast!  They could drive over anything with that monster.

Just when we thought things couldn't get more rad, the Hamiltons and Lovelesses bust in.  The Hamiltons were driving this sweet ride with stickers all over it.  It was one sweet ride!  The Lovelesses built from scratch a sweet sporty car that was the envy of the party.  It even had rear-view mirrors!  Crazy!  There was even this enormous blue bus that was like a party in itself!  Anyone who didn't make it to this scene really missed out!

We finally found the grub and started pounding hot dogs and popcorn.  I ate like way too much ice cream and I paid the price, but you only live once, know what I mean?  Madi was all up in the caramel corn.  We watched Cars 2 in the garage and then we hit the road.  This is one activities day party I'll never forget!

What High Priests do best...

Early morning Bishopric meetings wear him out. This is what he does as soon as he gets home. He takes a 20 minute nap before church starts.

Burley Idaho Fair!

Friday morning I went visiting teaching and while visiting the sister she mentioned she was going to the fair the next day in Burley to see the Rodeo. For some reason after hearing about it, I totally wanted to go! I haven't been to a rodeo in years and we have never taken our kids. So I got home and mentioned it to Ryan and we decided to go right then. We packed up the car and the kids and headed out to fair.

I used to love the swings as a girl...and Madisen wanted to give it a try...

She loved it too! You can see Ryan and the other two girls below..

The Rodeo was awesome!! I am so glad we went.
It was so much fun seeing the bull riders and all the other competitions they do. We stocked up on cotton candy, fried oreo-donuts, fresh lemonade and funnel cakes!

Water Hose Welt

While I was out canoeing with the Relief Society Dad was home watching the kids. Avery and Emily were playing in the back yard with the new green water hose we bought. It expands when you turn on the water and then coils back up after you turn the water off. It's a pretty neat invention. However, it is not intended for people to stretch it out as far as it can go and then let to let go of it. It will spring back like a whip. Avery just happened to be in the path of said, "whip". Poor thing got a welt around her eye. She handled it better than I would have though.

Relief Society Canoeing Trip

Family Health Services Summer Party

A Perfect Weekend.

Last weekend Dad and Sean were able to come out and visit us. It was awesome! We were really surprised when they called about a week before and said,"Hey can we come out to see you?

OF COURSE YOU CAN!!!

We are really blessed to have such a great family and so much love and support. We loved being able to spend time with Dad and Sean for those 3 days. We went miniature golfing with the kids and Madisen got a hole in one! We went out for ice cream and ordered dinner in one night. We watched a few movies and played around with the kids. And we laughed and cried together!
A perfect weekend.
