New Friends/Baptism/WaterPark

Ryan goes on splits with the missionaries here at least once a month.  He has gotten the chance to met a lot of members, converts and non-members of the church here.  About two months ago a nice family came to our ward and sat behind us. We got the chance to talk with them and found out he, Daniel wasn't a member of the church and his wife, Veronica had been baptized 4 years earlier but had stopped going. They have been married for a year and the told us they wanted more out of life and decided to come back to church. They have a boy, Rayden who is Madisen's age and a little girl, Miranda who is 5.

After just two weeks of coming to church, Daniel wanted to know more about the church and asked Ryan and the missionary serving in our ward to take the discussions. We were so excited for him and his family to want to know more about the Gospel. Having the opportunity to help this family was such a great experience for us as a family as well. Seeing Daniel take the discussions and having their kids come to Primary every Sunday was pure joy!  We were able to have several missionary discussions with them at our home and theirs.

After just a month, on July 9th, Daniel decided to be baptized and asked Ryan to baptize and confirm him a member of the church. The spirit was so strong during the confirmation. We are so excited for this new family and their desire to be sealed together for eternity in the temple in a year.

I wish I had a better picture of them.  I didn't get any pictures of Daniel and Ryan in their white baptism clothes. This was taken a week ago at a water park we went to with them.

It's been over 100 degrees for the last 30 days here in Texas...so the water park was a great way to cool down!
