Merry Christmas!!!

I hope everyone had a great Christmas! We have been very blessed this year as we are every year. Everything always works out and we know Heavenly Father is watching out for our family and blesses us daily. Thank you family and friends for your Christmas cards, and gifts we have received to make this Christmas a memorable one!
Santa found our new home here in Texas and left us a letter after he ate his cookies and milk...

This year Madisen wanted a dinosaur and Avery wanted a Cinderella and a boy. Yep, a boy. haha. Not a boyfriend, but a Barbie boy. They both got what they asked for and were so excited. Ryan and I also built the girls' a Barbie house and they have been playing with it all morning. We have been working on it every night for the past two weeks, building, making tables, beds, and other furniture, painting, and decorating...

Ryan showing off the house we built together...

I asked my parents if they could please build and make these couches for the house and my mom and dad did a great job on them. My mom even made pillows and curtains for the room too! They turned out so cute. Thanks Mom and Dad!

Christy that house is seriously Awesome! I love all the little details! It is so much better than store bought. I'm seriously impressed. I may have to commission you guys next year when I'm sure Emory will want a doll house. I'm glad you guys had a good Christmas in Texas. Did it feel like Christmas even though it was warm? Was this your first Christmas on your own? We stayed in here in IF since we'd been making the drive here so much and the weather was supposed to be bad, but it didn't end up being so. It was kind of fun doing our own traditions, but still missed the family. Anyway, sorry this turned into an email basically instead of a "comment"! Hope you're doing well!

Thanks Jessica! Yeah, we were pretty impressed with ourselves too...haha! We are not the creative-building type so this was quite an accomplishment for us. I didn't want to get a store bought one either , because they break and are just built cheap. yes, this was our first Christmas on our own, so it was a little quite and lonely, but still a fun one. It's always fun watching the kids. Hope you are enjoying Idaho Falls! love ya Jess!

You all did such a FABULOUS job on the doll house! Just goes to show that it does take a family to make the best homes.

It is hard to be away from family at holiday time but you know you were still in our hearts and prayers. We missed you!
