Cleveland Ohio

Dan and I went to Cleveland on a vacation!  Yay Cleveland! Cleveland... ugh... Ok, so it wasn't a vacation.  It was a CME for work to get us ready for our recertification test so we could continue to practice medicine as PAs. Pretty important.

We were in class from 7 am to 7 pm with a 1/2 hour lunch.  Oh, and we had a two-hour test every night.  It was rough to say the least.  Our only joy came from playing Halo after our test was over.

On the evening of the 3rd day (Sunday), we had a chance to break away and we went to Kirkland, where many of the most important event of the restoration of the Gospel took place.  We toured the original site of the Church, including the Kirkland temple.

I had to push Dan around in a wheel chair after a while because he was so weak.

It was a weekend of extremes: extreme boredom at the CME and extreme spiritual building in Kirkland.

HALL-OOOO-WEEEEEEN!

Ryan and I went to a Halloween party that we got invited to and it was awesome! We dresses as punk rockers. The girls had a blast at their school parties. Ryan and I got to come up with a fun Halloween game for Emily's class. Then as they do every year they have a school parade around the building showing off their costumes.
Emily was a cat, Avery was a Doctor and Madisen was Mattie Hatter (Two weeks before Halloween  we found the costume that she wanted at a yard sale! It was a little big on her but that is exactly what she wanted to be for Halloween so we made it work. :)

Happy Halloween!!!

The Adam's Family...

This is the Adam's Family. They are one of our closest friends here in Twin Falls. We hang out with them a lot, even though we have three girls and they have three boys. They are a fun family. I was asked by Carolyn if I could take their family pictures. OF COURSE! I have been wanting to get into photography. And what better way to start than to take pictures of a family. They were great to work with. Although, they are not even close to professional pictures I think they turned out decent enough for Christmas cards. Which is exactly what they used them for. Here are a few of my favorite:

Cute family, huh?

Posing for Mom

I was asked by our good friends in our ward if I would take their family pictures for their Christmas cards. I had told them I would months earlier as I wanted practice. However, I haven't used my camera in a few months so I needed a refresher on how to do a few things again like the flash, lighting, shutter speed...etc. So I had Madisen pose for me outside an hour before I had to leave to take pictures of this family.

Madisen is such a fun sweet girl. Glad I could capture a little of her personality in these pictures. Love you Madisen!
