Emily's Piano Recital

Emily memorized 2 pieces for her piano recital and she did so good! We are so proud of you Bubs!!

Miss Williams

Avery's favorite teacher, Miss Williams is a huge BYU fan and obviously, we are not.  She told Avery that BYU was going to crush BSU and she would be laughing at Avery when they got back to school. Well, turns out she spoke too soon, as we beat BYU. So Avery got to school early and decorated her teachers door. Let's just say, she was less than happy about the color choices. But she took it like a good sport!

They both have teased and poked at each other for a few years now. Avery became Miss Williams student clerk and loved it. They really do have a fun relationship. Miss Williams has gotten Avery gifts through the years of BSU stuff. So nice of her!

Homeschooling Projects

Emily decided she wanted to be homeschooled after covid. I was hesitant at first but we decided to give it a try. So she was homeschool for all of her 6th grade year and half of her 7th grade year. She loved it at first but after awhile I noticed slight changes in her that weren't healthy. She seemed sad, depressed anxious, paranoid and her health declined.  We talked about it and decided to pray about it. She came back after praying about it and decided she wanted to go back to school with her friends. It was the best decision for her. She improved within a few weeks. She is just too much a a social butterfly and needed to be around friends her own age, rather than her mom all day. Although we had lots of fun projects, horse riding lessons, outings with other home school families, it just wasn't the same. These are a few of the projects we did together.

Cross Country

Avery started doing Cross Country when she was in middle school. This race was up at Magic Mountain and she did really well. On the way home though she said she wasn't feeling very good and kept coughing the entire 45 minute ride home. We had her tested the next day and sure enough, she was positive for covid. Dang. But she kept going and even managed to do her push ups with dad. :)

First Meme

Those that have seen the movie Emma will recognize this movie quote. There is a restaurant called Jakers here in town that is expensive and their food really isn't that great. If you compare that to Texas Roadhouse it comes up lacking. So I sent this to our friends, thinking it was so clever and funny and got no reaction!! Actually one of my friends said, "I don't get it." !!! Hahaha!
