Spring break at the Redwoods

The first day in California we ran into Ryan's best friend Dan's wife's brother, Stacey Whitehead. What's funny about this is Ryan, Dan and Stacey play Halo every Thursday night together. So they just played a few nights before, and Stacey told Ryan that he wouldn't be there the next Thursday to play and Ryan said he wouldn't either. But he didn't talk about where they were going and neither did Ryan. So to see Stacey there at the same dock, going to the same restaurant 3 days later was quite crazy! Small world!

On our last night we got to stay at the Lindsay's house! It was so great seeing them and laughing like old times. Everything always feels easy with them and our friendship picks up right where we left off.

(Of Course Cristi and I Marco Polo often so we make sure to let the guys know what's going on).

We had such a fun trip! It was a little cold but we still enjoyed seeing all the sights and trees. Quite amazing sights! I would love to go again someday.

Fun St. Patrick's Day?

Before my kids were born I had good intentions of being the fun mom for every holiday throughout my kids' entire years at home.

Doing all the things from making gingerbread houses, carving and painting pumpkins, endless crafts for each holiday, a spread of Red and pink Valentine Dinners, staging The Elf on the Shelf throughout the month of December, the elf making mischievous messes and hiding in strange locations. Leaving Easter eggs through out the yard and even doing fun green foot print trails leading to the toilet with of course, green "pee" in the bowl.

However, as each year came the holiday "fun" became less and less fun, to the point now that this is what is left of my holiday energy...

A Kit Kat bar and cereal with green milk...

sure hope my kids still love me.
