The Juice Joint

We were invited to attend a Murder Mystery Dinner a few weeks ago and we had such a great time! It was awesome. Everyone really got into it and made it so much fun. There were glaring eyes, smack talk, gang slang, scandals, cat-fights, bribes and black mail....making for one crazy party! Plus tons of pictures. We had 1920's music playing and low lights and a great dinner. Everyone brought something for the dinner. We had a 7 course meal and so much sparking cider, root beer and mocktail drinks. So yummy!

We found out in the end it was Ryan, Chief Cameron, who murdered Nicholas Nick, who in turn murdered, Louise, which was my dear late husband....sniff. I played Rosie Marie, the Juice Joint owner, where the party was being held at.

At the end of the party we all cast our votes for the person(s) we thought was the killer. We also cast votes on best Actor and Actress and also counted up all the money we made through bribes or black mail. In the end I felt a little embarrassed as I won all three awards! Ryan was best supporting Actor, losing by only one vote. And in the end, I must have been pretty darn convincing as I ended up with the most cash! Whoooohooooo!! :)

Sorry for so many pictures!

First Time with a Gun.

Ryan and I bought a new gun. We actually went out and bought it as soon as we left the temple after we did a session. It was pretty weird going from a spiritual setting to a gun store. But we have been wanting to get a pistol for a long time so we decided what the hay, let's do it. I have actually never shot a gun before. So the first time I did was the weekend before this. Ryan and I went shooting with my brother Adam in Idaho Falls. The next weekend we had planned to go with some friends from our ward, the Adams. And Mike Francom came with us too. So this was my second time shooting...I totally have the position down...haha not. I also shot our shot gun, and boy I hope I never have to use that on a home intruder. That thing kicks! I stumbled back after I shot it the second time and I was like, "Ok. I am done."

Though it was fun to shoot a gun for my first time, I don't think it will become a hobby of mine. ;)
