Another Funeral

Just over a month ago Ryan's grandma passed away. Ryan was asked to sing at his grandma's funeral. Ryan's grandma has 9 brothers, they were all there for her funeral. Well one of the brother's wife died and before she passed away she asked if Ryan could also sing at her funeral. So of course we couldn't turn down a dying woman's request! We didn't know her, but we knew grandma's brother. We drove back over to Pocatello and stayed with my parents. The girls had a great time, while Ryan and I headed over to Preston for the funeral. We were able to visit Ethan again.  That was really special. I sure miss him. The girls were playing around in the back seat for awhile laughing and giggling and then it went quite. I looked back and they had all fallen asleep! Haha. Too funny!

The girls had a great time playing with grandpa and his parachute he bought. They also got to play in the big sandbox, and see their cousins. We always have a great time hanging out with family!

End of the Year Party!

On the second to last day of school, Perrine puts on an end of the year party for all the grade levels. They collect and turn in the box tops for the whole year raising enough money to rent all these bounce house and climbing walls for the kids. There's also many booths-face painting and games, and food stands all around for families to mingle with other families. We had a great time!

Kindergarten Graduation

Where did the year go?! I can't believe my little Avery has graduated from Kindergarten. Like seriously when did she grow from being a toddler? It makes me so sad that they are growing up so fast. I am excited for her though. She loved Kindergarten and her amazing teacher, Mrs. Stanger. Avery does very well in school and I think she will excel again next year. We are so proud of her. And love her so much! I love her little wave to us from the bleachers. "Hi Mom and Dad". These were some of her best friends, Tyson and twins, Hailey and Hannah.

New Computer

About 2 years ago we got a new lap top computer by using our credit card points, so it was free and you can't pass free up! However,  after 2 years, then it started having major problems. Pop-up windows, and viruses all the time, even with anti-pop up blockers and anti virus ware. We were pretty fed up! So we decided to just get our dream computer, it does so many things and is so fast! It's an Apple computer. I can't wait to try out some of the photo programs and video programs.

Summer Birthday Celebration

In Avery's Kindergarten class her teacher does an end of the year Birthday party for all those kids who have summer birthdays. So since Avery's birthday is in August I got to come and bring treats for all her classmates. They get the chance to blow out the amount of candles they are going to be and they do a spot light on each child and show baby pictures of themselves. I made sure to get the MOST embarrassing cute photos of her. The kids laughed pretty hard....that's why she is making that funny face.

Planetarium Field Trip

I was able to go with Madisen on one of her field trips at the end of the year and we had such a great time! We went to the Planetarium at the local college here in Twin Falls where they had a huge projector that plays on the ceiling and shows up on every wall inside the room. There are all sorts of fascinating movies about wildlife, dinosaurs and ocean life that can be seen there. We watched one about the life of an under water dinosaur fish that lived millions of years ago and how they came upon the fossils of it in our day. You lean back in these chairs and just stare up at the ceiling to watch it. It was pretty neat. Glad I was able to go with her class.

TaVaci!

TaVaci has been an amazing opportunity for my girls to be with other young girls learning to sing new creative songs, dance and get the basics of music. Melanie Cook is the founder of TaVaci, a music company that she does out of her own home. She has several groups of kids, boys and girls of ages from 3-12. She is wonderful at what she does and has such a talent to interact with kids. The girls love her and have enjoyed learning new songs. We are so sad though, as she just sold her home because her husband got a job working in Boise, BUT she has decided to stay one more year and live with her father-in-law and her husband will commute for a year. Alnyway, they put on 2 concerts each semester, so 4 a year. Once at an old folks home and then the big one the perform and the CSI college auditorium here in Twin Falls. I have also enjoyed hearing them sing these songs around the house. I wish I could post the videos of some of the songs, as they are darling, but video is a pain to upload, plus when I make a yearly book of our blog the videos just cause more problems.
