Happy Halloween!!

(Again, these pictures are not all in order.)

Halloween night we had a Trunk or Treat at our church. I think this is a great way to get a lot of candy in a short amount of time. Normally, I would say they need to work harder at getting candy by going door to door. But here in Idaho where it's usually freezing come Halloween day, I don't mind getting it done rather quickly and getting home where it is warm!

This Halloween however, it was so nice outside! It was in the high 50's! That happens every 25 years!  We didn't even had to wear coats. It was quite lovely. :)

We did go around to a few houses in our neighborhood but most of our good friends from church were at the church as well. We had a great time an hopefully next year will be just as warm...I doubt it though!

They have a Parade through the halls every year at the school, and I always try and make it. It is so fun to see all the kids dressed up and see some pretty amazing costumes. Here's Emily walking in the Parade. Here is Emily's Kindergarten teacher, Mrs. Stanger. She is one of my absolute favorite teachers! So patient and kind. And such a good teacher! Avery and Emily both have had her now.

I didn't get a great picture of Avery as she passed by (I had my slow camera) but I got one of her teacher, Mrs. Hart as a lobster. She is a great teacher as well. I feel blessed to have had good teachers for all my kids.

I was able to catch Madisen (and her best friend, Brooke) waving as she whizzed by! "Hi Mom!"

After the Parade, I helped out with Madisen's Halloween class Party. We played  minute to win it games. Madison passing out Kit Kats for everyone. And a picture of her best friends.

Madisen and Avery were invited to their friends' house for a Halloween party. There were over 30 kids at the party! They had a great time dancing, eating yummy desserts, face painting and just being with their friends.

After dropping Madisen and Avery off; Emily, Dad, and I went on a date out to dinner. We took Emily to Sizzlers where she could feel special too.
Happy Halloween!

BSU's Big win against BYU!

On October 24th, we had one of the greatest times of our entire lives ever!!  Mom and Dad Newman drove to Twin Falls and we left the kids with the Perrons (Executive Secretary and his wife in the College ward) to drive to Boise.  Along the way, we saw a dead dragon by the side of the road... We picked up Dan (our boy came home!) at a gas station and then drove on to...

Bronco Stadium!

The day had arrived.  Yes, my friends.  The enemy was within the gates.  BYU had come to our house expecting to take home a big win.  How foolish they were!

Unbeknownst to us, Dan had met up with Boise State head coach Brian Harsin and star running back Jay Ajayi before the game.  He told them to win.  They listened to Dan.

We had a blast watching our Broncos destroy the Cougars down on the Blue!  We were surrounded by a bunch of really mad BYU fans that did not expect their team to get taken out back behind the woodshed.  The looks on their faces were joyous to behold!  Their whines and LDS curses made us giggle with glee!  In the end, we won by 25 points and watched as they slowly filed past us in despair on their way to their cars for a LONG ride back to Utah.  Come back any time!  heh heh heh!

Hay Maze

We took the girls to a Hay Maze over the weekend and we had a good time. The Maze was actually pretty hard and took us almost an hour to find our way out! Then they had other fun things to do with the kids, like the huge slide and mini hay maze for toddlers, which the girls found it fun to race through it and see how fast they could get out. The girls also liked feeding the animals. It was just a fun relaxing afternoon out as a family.
