"Rains came down and the floods came up!"

In the summertime I babysit my friend's 3 girls about 5-6 a month during the week while she subs in at different Pharmacies. Her girls are such cuties, especially little Megan! She never cries, is always smiling and happy. She is just a delight to babysit! This day it was raining super hard so we couldn't go outside to play. The girls came up with their own puppet show. They spent like 2 hours making it all and it was about a 10 minute show they put on. Quiet hilarious I thought! They did a great job.

The rain was coming on so hard that we had a ginormous pond in our backyard. Luckily, we have such great friends and ward members who came by and offered help. Our friend, Shaun Adams and his wife and sons came and dug a trench for the water to drain to the front yard and down to the street. We were worried that our crawl space was going to flood. Luckily it didn't, but we did have some wet areas under our house that we had to dry out. Since the trench was already dug, Ryan and I decided to put in a french drain and put the yard back together 2 days later. There was a lot of homes in our ward with basements that got flooded and everyone just worked together to help each other out. We had meals being delivered and people carrying buckets out and digging up yards. It was a crazy storm. They said it only rains like that every 100 years!
