Stringham Family Reunion

We haven't been to a family reunion in a few years as we were in Texas for awhile then we moved to Twin in late spring of last year and had so much going on we never made it out to any. So this year I really wanted to attend at least one! We made it to the Stringham reunion. This is my dad's mom side of the family. But most of the people that showed up were all of my grandma's kids, so I got to visit with many of my cousins. It was great!
We went to Antelope Island, which is across the Salt Lake and onto an Island. We had the reunion at this State Park because one of my ancestors had discovered parts of it and today it has the ranch, barn and home they lived in on display with many of the things they used to use! It was such a neat experience to be able to tour the home and barn. I also found out it is one of the largest free roaming herds of American Bison there is. Crazy huh?! I had no idea! Makes me really want to look into my family history more. I had no clue my ancestors had anything to do with their own island!

This is a view from the island looking into Salt Lake City

Hi guys!

Avery enjoying some much needed chocolate before running off to play...

My dad made up this bucket dunking toss in a matter of hours. My mom helped by sewing the net to the back. It was a hit with all the kids! The older boys especially loved throwing the ball to get someone soaked.

There was Emily always at the snack table helping herself. (That'a kid!)

And the brother of Jared was named Alma :)

Grandpa got soaked by Avery and Colton....

It's pay back time! (my dad is still a kid at heart)

I am going to get you Grandpa!

And he DID! :)

My cousin, Shannon and her husband and baby girl

My twin cousin, Andrea. I was born just 4 hours before her. And she was going to be named Christine, but since I was named first they changed her name. I think Andrea fits her better anyway!

Best friends

My mom and I

How cool about your Salt Lake ancestors!
